Located alongside the golf course, the practice golf range for H. Smith Richardson GC is an ideal place to groove your stroke or sharpen your bunker play.
The 250+ yard range is situated in a quiet country setting and has over 20 hitting bays and mats available for hitting both irons and woods. Flags and yardage markers provide target and distance information to aid you in your practice.
Beginning this season 2010, the H. Smith Richardson Driving Range will offer expanded hours for your practice needs.
- A state of the art range ball dispenser will be installed that will allow the driving range to open at 6:00 a.m. on weekends and 7:00 a.m. on weekdays.
- Our new machine will continue to accept tokens which can be purchased at the pro shop or at the driving range after 9:00 a.m., and will also accept pre-paid keys.
- Pre-paid keys can be purchased at the H. Smith Richardson Pro Shop at any time and will offer a discount when purchasing 10 or 30 buckets.
- Please note that in order to use the range prior to 9:00 a.m., a key or token must be purchased at the pro shop as the driving range will not be staffed.
Range Attendent on Duty:
9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. after April 15, open Monday - Sunday
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in November, open Thursday-Sunday only (closed Monday-Wednesday).

The Practice
Range is located adjacent to the course on
Hoyden's Lane. From Morehouse Highway you will
pass the entrance to the golf course on your
left and take your first left onto Hoyden's.
Travel 6/10 mile and, just after passing the
maintenance building to the left, you will see
to the right a drive with an open gate and a
sign that says "Range". The driveway leads to
the parking area and facility building.
