The Professional Staff at H. Smith Richardson Golf Course have planned many fun group activities for our Junior Golfers ages 6-17. From the thrill of that first swing all the way up to the excitement of competition on the big course, we provide the important guidance and expert instruction to this next generation of golfers.





Little Tiger Golf Camps


2 day golf clinics for ages 6-7 and 8-10

“Little Tigers” is an instructional course geared towards young golfers.  Camps will teach basic fundamentals of the game.  “Little Tigers” clinics will be split into morning and afternoon sessions.  Each session will group like ages together as follows below.  The fee for the two-day clinics is $110.00 per student and limited to the first 18 per session.

 
Registration for all sessions will be on a first come, first serve basis and will begin on May 23rd at 4:00 pm in the grill room at Smith Richardson. After May 23rd registration will be accepted by phone at (203) 526-5935. All parents must fill out a contact/consent form at this time. No refunds will be issued unless your spot is filled.

Junior Golf Camps


3 day camps for ages 10-13

Junior golf camps are geared towards young golfers with on course golf experience.

The three day camps will be run by the Professional Staff and will be conducted throughout the summer. Students will meet at the driving range in the mornings where golf clinics will be organized as well as seminars to teach course management skills, rules of golf and on course etiquette. After lunch, the students will play 9 holes of golf at the Par 3 course at South Pine Creek. The clinics are limited to 10 students and may include both boys and girls ages 10 – 13. The fees for each session is $350.00 per student and includes range fees, green fees and lunch each day as well as golf giveaways from the staff.

Registration for all sessions will be on a first come, first serve basis and will begin on Saturday, May 16th at 4:00 pm in the Grill Room at H. Smith Richardson Golf Course. After May 16th registration will be accepted by phone at (203) 526-5935. All parents must fill out a contact/consent form that will be available at this time. No refunds will be issued unless your spot is filled.

(Ages 12-18)

Players must be 12-18 years old and be in the process of establishing a handicap.
Tee times start at 3:00 p.m. at H. Smith Richardson Golf Course.
Boys and Girls are both welcomed.

2009 Junior Introductory Golf Clinic

(Ages 8-15)

The golf professional staff will conduct a five session introductory golf clinic for juniors ages 8 to 15 on Wednesday evenings in July and August. This program is geared towards beginning golfers and will cover all the basic elements including woods, irons, chipping and putting. All sessions will take place either at the driving range or the putting greens. This program does not include on course play.

The dates for the clinics are July 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 and all sessions will run from 5:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Registrations will be accepted starting June 3rd at the Pro Shop and the cost for the clinic is $100. There is a limit of 25 participants.
